Quality of Life[]

Quality of Life is a key factor in keeping high Approval and Stability. Having an QoL above 'Fair' will result in a positive increase in stability per turn, while below will result in a decrease in stability. Between -4% and 4% increase per turn. You can lower your opponents QoL by bombing civilian populations and by beating them in a war.

Effects of Quality of Life[]

The higher your quality of life is, the more your stability goes up, between -4% and 4% depending on your stability. The more autocratic your political system is, the more effected your stability is by Quality of Life. Quality of Life also effects your growth rate and if it is too low it can decrease growth. If your Quality of Life drops too low, the UN might have to intervene and cause a partial reset on your nation.

Quality of Life levels[]

Most Domestic policies will raise QoL (Quality of Life), the two primary methods to raise QoL are to construct public schools or hospitals. QoL naturally decreases over time, about one level every 3 or 4 turns. Keep in mind that the higher QoL level you have the easier it is to keep it high.

The current Quality of Life levels are the following:

  • Humanitarian Crisis
  • Disastrous
  • Desperate
  • Impoverished
  • Poor
  • Average
  • Above Average
  • Decent
  • Good
  • Developed
