Political System[]

Political systems offer different passive bonuses and play styles depending on your system. The more autocratic your system, the more your stability is dependent on your quality of life and the less threatened by spies. The more democratic your system, the more stability is dependent on your leader's popularity and the more vulnerable to rebels. Each political system also offers a passive bonus and sometimes a random event which can give you a bonus.

Advantage of each system[]

From most to least autocratic:

One Soviet relation point per turn, formerly in BLOC but now only in Realpolitik and FastBLOC:

  • Military Junta: Event which gives you the choice between Chemical Weapons Progress, Airforce Size, or Troop Size.
  • One Party Rule: Event which gives you a choice about growth or manpower replenishment.

One American relation point per turn, formerly in BLOC but now only in Realpolitik and FastBLOC:

  • Authoritarian Democracy: More expensive (but still cheap) upkeep in stability due to dependence on leader's popularity.
